Get started with Gulp and using Bootstrap 4 with WordPress.

We are very pleased to have Adam Ward from Atomic Smash to speak about Getting started with Gulp and our very own Hannah Smith will be talking about using Bootstrap 4 with WordPress.

Getting started with Gulp

Gulp! What is it? How can it help you? How do you set it up? Adam aims to answer each of these question in this talk and help you decide if it’s something you want to learn more about. Or, if you’re already using it, hopefully expand your knowledge of Gulp and show you some useful tips.

Transitioning to using a task runner, like Gulp, can be a big step up for those who are comfortable with more graphical user interfaces (GUI) and not overly comfortable with the command line. Adam will break down some of those barriers by slowly and clearly stepping through the process of getting Gulp set up.

About Adam

Using Bootstrap 4 in WordPress

Bootstrap is an open source toolkit for front-end development with HTML, CSS, and JS.

With just a few lines of code you can make use of Bootstrap’s very powerful library in WordPress to create complex, responsive and robust theme layouts.

In this talk Hannah will cover the following using a mixture of slides and live demo:

* What Bootstrap 4 is and some of the key differences version 3 and 4
* How to make use of Bootstrap within WordPress
* Some of the key features: containers, grid layout and utilities
