How to reduce carbon emissions of your WordPress website & UX Superhero Design

This month of December we will be talking about sustainability in the Internet and project sustainability. What better way to end 2019! Hannah will be blowing our minds with tips to lower our carbon emissions as we work and and Bristol WordPress People will be hosting a lively Q&As.

Becky Taylor who was to give her talk – UX Superhero Design, has unfortunately had to cancel for very good reasons. We hope to see her at a later date.

Did you know that the internet is thought to produce about the same carbon emissions as the aviation industry? And if the internet was a country it would be the sixth biggest polluter in the world. Shocking isn’t it?

With nearly 35% of all websites being WordPress websites, we have a fantastic opportunity to play a role in reducing emissions and spreading awareness of the impact of our online habits.

In this talk we’ll understand how to measure the carbon emissions of your website. We’ll look at techniques to lessen your impact.
